Established in January 2009, Maya Books is a young and dynamic publishing house from Istanbul, Turkey. Our publishing policy is mainly based on popular books (especially books on women), popular science and reference books. We have published thirty five books up to now and our writers include Patricia McCormick (Sold), M. Alice Monroe (Time is a River, The Butterfly’s Daughter), Diana Cooper (2012 and Beyond, Angel Answers), Sara Sheridan (The Secret Mandarin, Secret of the Sands), Jonathan Barnes (The Somnambulist, The Domino Man), Fay Weldon (The Spa Decameron), Daniel Quinn (Ishmael), Davis S. Kidder (The Intellectual Devotional) and Charles Panati (Extraordinary Origins of Everyday Things).
The local copyright agencies we've so far worked with are: Akcali, Kayi, Anatolialit, Kesim, Onk, Kalem and Karasuil Agency. We are also keeping in touch with various foreign agencies and publishing houses including William Morris, David Higham Associates, Intercontinental Literary Agency, Hodder & Mobius, Findhorn Press and Faber & Faber.
